Finavera has signed a deal with GE Energy Financial Services to use its wind turbine equipment in the production of the 45 megawatt Tumbler Ridge Wind Project in British Columbia.

Tumbler Ridge is one of four projects that Finavera intends to submit to the British Columbia Hydro Clean Power Call.

The two companies will finalise their turbine supply agreement once BC Hydro give the project the all clear.

Finavera Renewables chief executive, Jason Bak, said: “Signing this memorandum of understanding allows us to secure turbines and firm pricing from a top tier turbine manufacturer and will enhance our bid in the upcoming BC Hydro Clean Power Call.

“These turbines are very well suited to the wind resource and terrain associated with this project.”

The other projects include the Bullmoose Wind Energy Project and the Wildmare Wind Energy Project.

Finavera Renewables are a company dedicated to developing renewable energy resources and technologies.
