John Gormley, Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, said the chartered accountant and director has “very wide experience” in areas such as corporate governance and financial reporting.
As such, she is “exceedingly well-placed” to lead the DDDA through the current period of financial turbulence and steer it into a position where it is able to further develop the infrastructure required to contribute to a sustainable future for the city.
He added: “The authority has now entered the second decade of its programme of regeneration of the Docklands area and we have now completed a strong, experienced and skilled executive board to carry out its challenging work.”
The DDDA project was launched in 1997 by the by the Dublin Docklands Development Authority Act and extends to more than 526 hectares in the east of the Irish capital.
