Controversial BNP leader to attend COP15

The British National Party leader Nick Griffin has said he will go the Copenhagen climate talks in his role as a Member of the European Parliament.

Mr Griffin sits on the Parliament’s environment committee and has in the past been a vocal critic of climate change.

Speaking last week Mr Griffin said: “Those who warn of the consequences of climate change had reached an Orwellian consensus not based on scientific agreement, but on bullying, censorship and fraudulent statistics.

“The anti-western intellectual cranks of the left suffered a collective breakdown when communism collapsed.

“Climate change is their new theology… but the heretics will have a voice in Copenhagen and the truth will out.

“Climate change is being used to impose an anti-human utopia as deadly as anything conceived by Stalin or Mao.”
