Have you gone so far beyond good practice that you’re setting the sustainability agenda in your sphere of operations?

Have you taken action that has transformed your organisation’s environmental performance beyond all recognition?

If so, we want to hear about it.

Edie’s Awards for Environmental Excellence seek to recognise projects that set new standards in this area and can act as exemplars for others to follow.

They are one of just a handful of RSA accredited awards schemes that allow the winners to go forward to the European Business Awards for the Environment.

This year we have streamlined the entry process to make putting forward your projects as simple as possible.

At the first stage, entrants will simply have to supply a brief case study outlining their initiative, supported by images and graphics where necessary.

The deadline for this first round is Wednesday, May 26.

Those projects that are then shortlisted from these entries will be asked to provide supplementary data outlining how they meet the specific criteria our panel of judges will be using to make their final decisions.

We are looking for projects from nine distinct disciplines chosen to reflect the breadth of work being done by business and the public sector to promote a more sustainable world.

These categories are as follows.

  • Carbon Reduction
  • Green Corporate Initiative
  • Green Local Authority Initiative
  • Green Retail Initiative
  • Renewable Energy
  • Sustainable Construction
  • Sustainable Transport
  • Waste & Recycling
  • Water & Wastewater
