Eco Appz has released free version of its app Eco Bulbz which shows people how much energy they can save by switching to energy efficient bulbs.
A spokesman for the company said: “Users can calculate the quantity of bulbs of the same wattage to see how much energy would be saved when normal incandescent bulbs are replaced by energy saving bulbs.
“We have designed the app to be easy to operate and by seeing how much money can be saved is more value than knowing how much energy can be saved.”
The app, which is available at the iTunes Store, currently only works on the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad.
