Haz waste firm OSS Group acquires Hall and Campey

Hazardous waste specialist OSS Group has acquired Nottingham-based Hall and Campey, a waste oil collection business, for an undisclosed sum.

Hall and Campey operates primarily in the Midlands and East Anglia, and also deals with garage waste, secure materials destruction and plastic recycling with two depots in Nottingham.

OSS Group believes the acquisition will strengthen its national coverage and it should benefit from greater collection of waste mineral oils which it can recycle into a processed fuel oil product called Gen3.

OSS’s acting group managing director Iain Lees said: Key to this acquisition is that the waste oil collected from Hall and Campey’s customer base can now be used by OSS to produce our Gen3 processed fuel oil.

“We are experiencing a high demand for this recovered fuel so additional feedstock is a considerable benefit. The increased customer list and extended products and services will benefitall customers of the enlarged Group in an increasingly demanding service lead market.”

The Hall and Campey business will continue to operate at its two sites in Nottingham, and OSS says it intends to retain staff so customer collections in the regioncan be maintained and further services introduced.

The plastics recycling and secure materials destruction operated by Hall and
Campey will be developed by OSS with the intention of extending these as
products available nationally.
