Sustainability Live conference almost fully-booked

The brand new strategic conference, to be launched by edie at Sustainability Live this April, is now at capacity on both Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd, with only 10 places left for Thursday April 23rd.

A small number of seats will be allocated on the theatre door each day, on a first come, first served basis for qualifying personnel.

Under the headline theme ‘From Risk to Resilience’, the conference addresses topics ranging from the newest business models and systems, to inspirational behaviour change, from water security, to addressing the balance between energy efficiency measures and onsite generation. Designed for decision makers this new strategic conference brings together the business and policy leaders who are finding new ways of building resilience into organisational models and reaping the benefits.

The conference is supported by three seminar theatres, featuring operational how-to content, all of which is CPD-accredited. Ideal for those visitors responsible for delivering the business’ sustainability and energy strategy and objectives, the theatres explore processes, technologies, the latest thinking, including key case studies from those that are already making it happen. Plus, dedicated workshops on behaviour change, water efficiency and community energy for local authorities and housing associations.

The edie conference is just one of a raft of new features at Sustainability Live this year, which, for the first time is co-located with the all new UtilityWeek Live exhibition, incorporating IWEX.

Four Topic Trails have been introduced to help guide visitors navigate the show and achieve their objectives in the most time-efficient way. All the exhibitors on each of the four trails are highlighted on a dedicated Topic Trail Map. Users can visit as many exhibitors on each trail as they like, but if they visit ten they qualify for a free drink from edie and entry into a prize draw to win a luxury Weekend break at a sustainable hotel. With four trails – the ESOS trail, the Smarter Systems trail, the Energy-Efficient Buildings trail and the Energy Generation trail – that means four free drinks and four chances to win.

Also new this year is the edie Innovation Zone. Supported by the Knowledge Transfer Network, this new zone showcases the latest emerging technologies, currently being trialled pre-commercialisation. From generating energy from plastic bags to mass-market rainwater harvesting, all the technologies on show were selected by an independent panel of experts.

Sustainability Live takes place on April 21st-23rd at the NEC, Birmingham. Attending is completely free of charge. Click here to register now.
