Science-based targets offer a massive opportunity to build investor confidence, enhance brand reputation and drive bottom-line savings. This webinar will hear from a selection of sustainability leaders and experts to help you deliver a successful science-based targets strategy.

Almost 500 companies have committed to taking science-based climate action, with 140+ firms having approved science-based targets in place. But adopting such ambitious carbon-reduction goals is not without its challenges.

This webinar will cut through the complexity and provide you with the answers, by hearing from leading businesses and science-based targets experts to map out exactly how science-based targets can be used to future-proof growth.

Webinar speakers:

– Eliot Whittington, Director of Policy (Acting) Director, The Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group

Eliot leads the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) team that bridges between business and policy makers to bring about a more sustainable economy. He is the current Director of The Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group, which brings together businesses to work towards a step change in policy and action on climate change, and of the EU Green Growth Platform, which creates a common space for governments, businesses and parliamentarians to collaborate in support of a greener EU economy.

– Gabrielle Ginér, Head of Environmental Policy, BT

Gabrielle has worked on BT’s environmental sustainability programmes since 2009.  Her work has spanned BT’s carbon targets, including BT’s recent 1.5 degrees Celsius science-based carbon reduction target, BT’s net positive carbon abatement target, ICT’s carbon abatement potential and BT supply chain engagement initiatives, such as the award winning BT Better Future Supplier Forum.

– James Robey, Global Head of Corporate Sustainability, Capgemini

James has been driving the sustainability agenda at Capgemini since 2008 – initially for Capgemini UK and since January 2011 globally.  Bringing together the local sustainability leaders from across the Group, James broadened Capgemini’s traditional community focus into a wide-ranging programme covering Environmental Sustainability, Community Engagement and Diversity & Inclusion.

Incorporating expert sessions and live audience Q&A, the webinar is free to watch live at 2pm on Thursday 18 October, and will be available on-demand afterwards.
