Closing at 5pm: Energy managers called upon to take edie’s ‘Business Barometer’ survey

The new quarterly Business Barometer has been designed primarily for members of edie's Energy Leaders Club – the free members club for in-house energy managers and practitioners

What impact is Brexit having on your organisation’s energy management strategy? Will the new Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting (SECR) regulations help or hinder energy managers? And which technologies and innovations hold the most promise for the future of busines energy?

edie’s new quarterly Business Barometer, developed in association with Centrica Business Solutions, will take a regular temperature-check of all UK-based energy managers and practitioners, with a view to analysing current challenges, spotting industry trends and identifying future opportunities on the road to net-zero emissions.

TAKE THE BUSINESS BAROMETER SURVEY HERE –

The first Barometer survey, which takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete, can now be taken by all in-house energy managers and practitioners who are responsible for managing and reducing their organisation’s energy. The survey closes on Wednesday 8th May.

The survey and Barometer have been developed primarily for members of edie’s Energy Leaders Club – a free networking club for senior energy managers to share best-practice, build knowledge and support one another on the road to reduced emissions. (Details on joining the Club can be found at the bottom of this article).

Whilst individual survey responses will be kept anonymous, the collective results will be curated into a full Business Barometer report which will analyse the key trends and statistics affecting business energy. This report will be updated each quarter and made available for all edie users to download, free of charge.

The majority of the survey questions will remain consistant over time, whilst some questions will be bespoke to each survey as a way of exploring the ‘topics of the moment’.

For the inaugural survey, bespoke questions cover off the implications of Brexit and the opportunities offered up through SECR, along with a question about the most important skills for an energy manager to do their job effectively.

Energy managers and practitioners can take the Business Barometer here.
