With less than a decade to meet the Global Goals and put the global economy onto a clear trajectory to deliver a just net-zero transition, this one-hour webinar will reflect on some of the biggest sustainability challenges of 2020, and the most business-critical opportunities of 2021.

We cannot let Covid-19 derail the global transition to a net-zero-carbon, circular and just economy. In 2020, the pandemic has created a whole new set of challenges – namely how businesses adapt to digital and remote ways of working, how to decarbonise buildings and transport, and how sustainability and CSR professionals engage a staff base that has rightly been dealing with the here-and-now.

With that in mind, this webinar – hosted in association with edie’s virtual Sustainability Leaders Forum and sponsored by EDF Energy – looked at some of the key areas businesses will need to focus on in 2021 to build forward better from the pandemic and accelerate climate action.

The webinar features a range of speakers that will appear at the Forum on 2-4 February – with insights to include fresh approaches to staff engagement; industry-leading decarbonisation strategies for buildings and transport; and innovative strategies to re-think business purpose and spur the green recovery.

Discussion points:

  • Nine years and counting: What must happen next to achieve the SDGs
  • Engaging your workforce to drive your strategy forward in 2021
  • Building and transport: Accelerating the net-zero carbon transition

  • Matt Mace, Content Editor, edie
