The brand new

Produced in association with Inspired Energy, the brand new edie Explains guide concerning ESOS Phase 3 is available to download now. Click here to access your copy.

ESOS is a mandatory energy assessment and savings scheme for organisations in the UK which qualify for it. The Scheme was originally developed by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) – which is now the Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

The UK Government recently put out a consultation, which closed on 28 September, for ESOS Phase 3. This follows on from the 2020 Post-Implementation Review of the Scheme.

As such, this new edie Explains guide is a timely publication. Sponsored by Inspired Energy, the guide offers an end-to-end overview of what the Scheme is, the best routes to compliance, and how ESOS can support net-zero carbon goals.

FAQs answered in the guid include: How does ESOS work, and who does it apply to?  What are the best routes to ESOS compliance? And what changes are being proposed for the third phase of the Scheme as part of a Government consultation?

The guide is being hosted as part of an ongoing Masters series on ESOS Phase 3, produced by edie and Inspired Energy.

Another key part of the series is edie’s next free 45-minute Masterclass webinar, which is taking place at 1pm BST next Thursday (14 October).

The masterclass will be based around two expert presentations which break down the ESOS Phase 3 compliance process and outline potential changes to the Scheme. The session will culminate with a live audience Q&A, allowing you to have your ESOS and net-zero questions answered by our experts.

Inspired Energy’s client optimisation manager Emma Hird has been confirmed as a presenter and edie will announce her co-presenter, a representative for the UK Government, in the coming days. This session will be chaired by edie’s senior reporter Sarah George.

If you are unable to tune in while the session is taking place, but are still keen to watch, please register anyway. Registrants will be able to watch the session on-demand once the broadcast has finished.
