Renewed hopes over Kyoto, as Japan appears to reaffirm commitment

After ambiguous comments in a meeting with the US President increased fears of a Japanese pullout, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi appears to have reaffirmed his nation’s commitment to the Protocol in talks with the UK Prime Minister.
