SLR consultant wins contributing Nobel Peace Prize

Senior air quality consultant Elizabeth Garnett, who works for leading UK firm SLR Consulting, has been awarded a contributing Nobel Peace Prize.

She received the award for work she carried out for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which co-won the Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore in 2007.

Elizabeth, who works from SLR Consulting’s Bristol office, said: “The award was sent to everyone who contributed to the IPCC.

“I was a member of the IPCC Emission Factor Database Working Group, whose aim was to review and disseminate appropriate emissions factors for the calculation of national greenhouse gas emissions across the globe.

“It was a real surprise to receive the certificate and is great to know the hard work of the IPCC has been recognised.”
