Sri Lanka: Coastal waters monitoring programme launched

Sri Lanka's Marine Pollution Prevention Authority (MPPA) has launched its first programme to monitor the quality of coastal waters. The information gained will be useful for the implementation of remedial action and enforcement of legislation to prevent the rapidly deteriorating marine pollution levels, says MPPA.
