Episode 81 of the Sustainable Business Covered podcast sees the team record during day two of edie’s flagship and award-winning Sustainability Leaders Forum.

Following day one of the Sustainability Leaders Forum, which resulted in the first part of this podcast, edie returns to the Business Design Centre for day two, and gathered five more sustainability experts to ask:

  • How do you think businesses will need to transform over the next decade to give the world a shot at the SDGs and the Paris Agreement?
  • And what about the sustainability professional, how will their role change as a result?

During this episode, edie’s content editor Matt Mace sits down with Mars Incorporated’s global vice president for sustainability Kate Wylie to discuss accelerating the circular economy.

Following that, British American Tobacco’s group head of sustainability Jennie Galbraith outlines corporate actions on human rights while Hilton Worldwide’s corporate responsibility manager Claudia Candiotto talks internal engagement to drive sustainable behaviours.

edie then catches up with the Forum’s chair and moderator, Futerra’s co-founder Solitaire Townsend for her reflections on the high-level discussions at the forum. Finally, the Fairtrade Foundation’s chief executive Michael Gidney offers his thoughts on the need to deliver a just transition to net-zero emissions that accounts for workers across the globe.
