Sustainable Business Covered podcast: Carbon labelling, office space and new normal leadership
Episode 89 of the Sustainable Business Covered podcast delivers three exclusive interviews with sustainability leads at tech manufacturer Logitech, flexible office provider Workspace and an in-depth chat with global white goods firm Arcelik's chief executive Hakan Bulgurlu.
The latest episode brings you to audible versions of edie’s SustTalk series, where we sit down with sustainability professionals to discuss how they are working during lockdown.
First up, Sarah speaks to Logitech’s head of global operations Prakash Arunkundrum on the electronics giant’s decision to introduce labels communicating the carbon footprint of products to its entire portfolio, starting this year.
Following that, Matt catches up with Workspace’s head of sustainability Karen Jamison on what the future holds for green buildings and corporate use.
Previously, Workspace has engaged with customers to reduce their energy consumption as the landlord areas only use a small proportion of the whole building consumption. Contractors and suppliers are also educated in an attempt to target the embodied carbon of development. As of November 2019, Workspace has 13 sites built to BREEAM standards.
Finally, Matt delivers a 30-minute interview with Arcelik’s chief executive Hakan Bulgurlu to discuss business leadership during Covid-19. Bulgurlu is also a delegate at the High-Level Commission on Carbon Pricing and Competitiveness operating within the World Bank, which is also discussed.
