The green room is the only place where you can hear full, uninterrupted interviews with some of the world’s most renowned sustainability professionals and experts, and find out exactly what makes a modern-day green business leader.

From their views on global climate issues through to their favourite pastimes, the interviewees that enter the green room will provide you with the insight and inspiration you need to keep doing business better.

Following our first ‘in the green room’ episode with BT’s Gabrielle Ginér and our second with Carillion’s David Picton, edie enters the world of real estate for a chat with Sarah Beattie, who is the senior environment and energy manager at Landsec – formerly known as (and referred to in the podcast episode as) Land Securities.

In the 45-minute conversation, Beattie discusses how her love for the outdoors inspired her to pursue a career in sustainability, and explains how Landsec has been able to come a sustainability leader in the real estate industry – particularly through effective internal engagement and the setting of ambitious targets.

The chat concludes with Beattie providing her key pieces of advice for aspiring sustainability professionals, including a tip to “never assume” when it comes to launching and delivering CSR campaigns.
