The Sustainable Business Covered podcast returns for the first time since the UK Government imposed lockdown measures on the nation. As businesses attempt to redefine how they work under unprecedented conditions, there is cause for concern that sustainability may slip down the corporate agenda.

The sustainability professionals, however, remain defiant that they can still ignite change even during lockdown. This podcast episode gathers together discussions from edie’s new #SustyTalk video series of face-to-face virtual interviews with sustainability leaders.

This podcast episode features a first look of the discussion between Landsec’s corporate affairs & sustainability director Caroline Hill and BT’s director of reporting and insight Richard Marsh discuss a post-coronavirus recovery with sustainability as a central pillar (watch here).

Following on from that, edie speaks to General Motors’ chief sustainability officer Dane Parker, who dials in from the US, to discuss whether the coronavirus could change consumer attitudes towards electric vehicles (watch here).

Finally, edie goes back to the start of the week for the first interview in the #SustyTalk series, as Interface’s regional sustainability manager (UKIME & Nordics), Jon Khoo dials in to discuss the learnings from Covid-19 and how they can be applied to the ongoing fights against climate change and single-use plastics (watch here).
