With edie readers largely working remotely either all the time or in a hybrid pattern, this ongoing series of video interviews keeps you connected to the inspirational business leaders who are continuing to drive sustainability and champion climate action from their own homes.

#SustyTalk is all about keeping edie’s loyal readers connected to sustainable business leaders across the world, whilst reminding us all that sustainability and climate action must go on through the current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

This latest episode has been recorded as part of edie’s Climate Finance Week 2022 (18-22 July) of exclusive content and events. It sees edie’s senior reporter Sarah George dialling Heather Buchanan, co-founder of Bankers for Net-Zero and the executive director of policy and strategy at the UK APPG on Fair Business Banking.

Buchanan is on hand to reflect on the evolution of the initiative, from development pre-COP26 to growth and evolution after the crucial climate conference, and to outline how it works with the many other net-zero-themed finance initiatives to have recently been founded.

She also provides her thoughts on policy interventions the next UK Government should make to deliver its landmark pledge on making the nation the world’s first net-zero financial centre.
