#SustyTalk: Counting down to COP26 with O2’s Tracey Herald
With COP26 less than six months away, edie has launched a new series of videos with high-level speakers, designed to inspire and empower your preparations for the conference. Up next, O2's head of corporate responsibility and sustainability Tracey Herald.
edie’s SustyTalk interview series turns its attention to the COP26 climate summit. With O2’s head of corporate responsibility and sustainability Tracey Herald on hand to discuss the company’s climate commitments.
O2’s overarching sustainability strategy is headlined by a target to achieve net-zero across its entire business and mobile network by 2025 – a move it claims will make it the UK’s first net-zero mobile network provider. During this discussion, Herald outlines progress against this target, and the importance of businesses seizing the net-zero movement in the build-up to COP26.
Herald is one of the key speakers already confirmed for edie’s flagship Countdown to COP26 event on Thursday 20 May. This virtual event is the perfect primer for the Conference, connecting key representatives with sustainability and energy leaders and climate experts, to discuss what it will take to lay the foundations for a decade of green industrial revolution.
O2 is the headline partner of edie’s Countdown to COP26 Festival, which will inform and inspire businesses to seize the opportunity of the crucial UN climate talks which are being held in Glasgow this November. The Festival will run from May through to October, kicking off with a flagship eponymous virtual event on 20 May.
Other keynote speakers include the UK Cabinet Office’s director of partnerships and engagement Matt Toombs and WBCSD director Claire O’Neill, also former UK Energy Minister.
More than 250 business and climate leaders have already registered to attend the event, which forms an integral part of edie’s Countdown to COP26 Festival of digital content and events.
