The latest episode sees edie’s senior reporter Sarah George hosting a panel discussion with Bennetts Associates’ director Peter Fisher and FORE Partnership’s managing director Basil Demeroutis. 

 

As an architecture practice and a property fund respectively, the organisations represent different viewpoints from within the built environment – a sector responsible for more than one-third of the world’s energy demand and emissions. And both are classed as leaders in the sector’s transition to net-zero and drive to deliver positive social outcomes.
 
Peter and Basil discuss recent policy changes and short-term support mechanisms in the sector, and what is on their policy wishlist ahead of COP26. They also talk about how the sector has been impacted by Covid-19 and the key learnings from 2020.
 
The publication of this #SustyTalk episode comes shortly after edie published its ‘Mission Possible: Achieving a green recovery for the built environment’ report. Produced in association with E.ON, the report is free to download and analyses the results of edie’s green recovery survey of 243 sustainability and energy professionals. It also features takeaways from  in-depth discussions with a steering panel of sustainability experts from some of the world’s most respected construction and built environment firms in the vanguard of sustainability leadership.
