For this conversation, Angelini provides a deeper dive into Timberland’s new 2030 plan to have a net-positive impact on nature. Announced earlier this month, the vision is underpinned by commitments to source 100% of natural materials like leather and cotton from regenerative sources and to design all products for complete circularity. 

In light of the fact that new regenerative agriculture plans have also been launched by the likes of Patagonia and Tommy Hilfiger recently, Angelini also speaks to the importance of collaboration across the fashion sector and beyond on the collective mission to redefine sustainability beyond ‘doing less bad’. 

Angelini said: “When we think about building a new, regenerative supply chain, for starters, we are thinking about our own products. But we are really aiming to set those up so that, eventually, our competitors and the industry as a whole can tap into those supply chains and we can realise the change that we really need to see across the industry.”
