This MSc will explore methods of managing wastes alongside the conversion of wastes to energy and the role of energy from waste in the UK, in terms of the technology and the biochemistry and/or chemistry of fuels.
As such this course is targeted at engineering and physical science graduates due to the nature of the modules. Students completing this course will gain a broad appreciation of the technical, economic and environmental challenges that face the energy from waste industry.
It is anticipated that students completing this course will be employed by waste management companies, energy companies and the engineering sector dealing with waste, in both technical and engineering consultancy along with management roles across the sector.
