Waste incinerator reporting software launched

In a direct response to the launch of the new EC directive for waste incinerators, Enviro Technology Services plc, the UK supplier of environmental monitoring instrumentation and systems, has further extended its offering to customers by adding the innovative new software package "ReporterManager" to its portfolio of products.

The new EC directive (2000/76/EC), under which all WI plants should operate, has strict guidelines when it comes to incinerator reporting. Many UK-based plants have seen the implementation of these guidelines severely increasing the amount of time spent by an operator when reporting, says Enviro Technology.

“The new EC directive has very strict reporting requirements, all of which have stretched the amount of money and time incineration plants have had to dedicate to satisfying the directive’s requirements,” says Duncan Mounsor, Operations Director.
“ReporterManager is a software module that has been developed to enable incinerator operators to produce exact reports that comply with the directive regulations.”
Traditionally, obtaining raw data from the incinerator monitoring equipment and transferring this into the correct reporting format was difficult and extremely time consuming. ReporterManager allows the operator to report events such as exceeding limits and alarm, parameter changes and abnormal operating conditions. The software generates both basic and summary reports in Excel format as mean values in 10-minute, 30-minute and hourly intervals and as daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports.

“Our customers have a job to do and they want to do this on time and budget. In the minefield which is waste incinerator monitoring we are here to shed some light and take the stress out of a sometimes lengthy reporting job. We have started incorporating ReporterManager at existing plants we service across the UK and the feedback has been good. Another added bonus is that, although the software is manufactured by OPSIS, it can also work in harmony with a host of different manufacturer systems,” Mr Mounsor concludes.
