The Health and Safety Executive has launched a prosecution against Norfolk waste company Enviro-Waste Ltd after an investigation into the deaths of three employees in 2004.

The HSE alleges the company failed to manage the risks of slurry holding tanks at its Thetford plant and that the employees died as a result of exposure to these risks.

The case opened on Wednesday, August 2 at Swaffham Magistrates’ Court but was adjourned until September to prepare for a full hearing, which will take place at Norwich Magistrates’ Court.
