Sustainability Leaders Awards 2021: Meet the Finalists

After a record-breaking year of entries, the judges have convened, decisions have been made and edie is proud to unveil the well- deserved finalists for the 2021 Sustainability Leaders Awards. This report outlines the who's who of sustainability excellence.

Now in their 14th year, edie’s RSA-accredited Sustainability Leaders Awards recognise excellence across the spectrum of green business; from the best efficiency programmes through to product innovations, from stakeholder engagement and social sustainability initiatives to the people on the ground who are making change happen. The scheme is the UK’s largest and most prestigious sustainability awards initiative.

Our panel of 18 independent expert judges recently met for a virtual day judging where they whittled down hundreds of entries to the below shortlist. This includes a number of new categories that were added this year to widen the scope of the awards – including Net-Zero Carbon Strategy of the Year, Green Recovery Initiative of the Year and Business Leader of the Year.

For 2021, the Awards have a new virtual home. The ceremony will take place online on the evening of Wednesday 3 February 2021, uniting hundreds of sustainability, CSR and energy professionals across the globe to recognise achievements made in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic. Shortlisted nominees and colleagues are encouraged to reserve their tickets here for £50 per head, so they can celebrate in style.

The edie team would like to congratulate all of this year’s finalists. We look forward to celebrating with you virtually on Wednesday 3 February 2021.

From the great challenge of this pandemic, we are seizing the opportunity for sustainability and energy leaders to recognise their pioneering work to lead the green recovery and transform business, for good.
