UK failing on air conditioning emissions controls

The UK has been hauled before the European courts for failing to fully implement laws controlling emissions from air conditioning units in cars and other vehicles.

The UK argued that it had partially transposed the necessary directive onto its own law books, but the ECJ held that the country had failed to meet its full obligations and would have to pay costs.
