The website was set up by the Consortium of Automotive Recycling (CARE) to help vehicle manufacturers and importers meet their material recycling and reuse obligations, energy recovery and landfill targets as set out in the forthcoming End of Life Vehicle directive (see related story).
CARE is a collaborative project involving the main UK motor vehicle manufacturers/importers and vehicle dismantlers. It’s objective is to research and technically prove materials re-use and recycling processes for scrapped vehicle waste.
