The company says it is the world’s biggest single sewage pumping station.

The project is to expand the Stonecutters Island Sewage Treatment Works, which forms part of the massive Harbour Area Treatment Scheme (HATS).

Biwater Man Lee Limited (BML) will work with Sun Fook Kong (Civil) Limited on the contract and will responsible for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the associated M&E works.

The new sewage pumping station will deliver a maximum pumping capacity of up to 2,764,800 cubic metres per day.

The project is expected to take five years, with a completion date of 2016.
