Work starts on ‘green’ power station
Construction work began on December 11 on Europe's first commercial "clean and green" power station.
The £28M station in the Vale of York will burn forest wood chip and willow to produce enough electricity to supply 30,000 people. The plant is scheduled to become operational next year.
