WPL Diamond installed at YHA Hindhead

NEWS RELEASE: WPL's Diamond wastewater treatment system has been installed at Price's Cottage, the pictresque Youth Hostel Association at Hindhead, owned by the National Trust. Situated near Devil's Punchbowl in a valley accessed only via a gravel track, the property sleeps twelve and is a former broomsquires cottage. Handling all of the property's wastewater, WPL's Diamond was chosen for its ease of installation, compact design and low maintenance requirements. The system oeprates for at least 2/3 years before desludging is necessary, ideal for a property in such a remote location.

Catering for up to 20 people, the Diamond is a discreet, robust and cost-effective system. A simplistic design, featuring no moving parts, enhances reliability and a unique weir construction ensures continuous high performance by reducing the impact of fluid surges. Meanwhile, an extended aerobic process reduces desludging and eliminates odours.

During installation, the Diamond’s robust, conical design alleviates the need for a concrete backfill and once installed, only a 600mm green cover is visible, lying flush with the ground and blending discreetly with its surroundings.

Over 20,000 Diamond wastewater treatment systems are currently installed worldwide – each meeting the high standards of performance testing carried out by the NSF Organisation, a leading international environmental test agency. For further information on the Diamond range and other WPL wastewater treatment products, please contact Mike Bennett or Vince Preedy on Tel (023) 92 242600.
