WPL meets size and no-odour criteria for Wilson Connolly

NEWS RELEASE: WPL’s HiPAF 20F has been installed, by Riverside Water, at Wilson Connolly’s Kenwith Valley site in North Devon. The High Performance Aerated Filter System will provide temporary treatment for all wastewater from the 200 population site, prior to the installation of mains drainage when building works are completed.

WPL’s HiPAF provides a ten ammonia consent because of the sensitive nature of the discharge to the River Torridge. Installed below ground, the system includes no moving parts, simplifying maintenance requirements; controls are housed in a small, acoustically insulated GRP kiosk adjacent to the unit. During operation, the system utilises Submerged Aerated Filter technology and effluent passes through a three-stage treatment process.

Ian Rees, Managing Director at Riverside Water Technologies commented, “The site’s footprint and a need to install plant close to the houses made it essential that a low-odour, compact design was chosen. WPL’s HiPAF fulfilled these criteria, whilst offering easy installation and an excellent track record.
