Recorded - ESOS: How to turn compliance into a business opportunity

ESOS timescales are tight, and companies that act faster will be able to turn their audit recommendations into cost savings, covering the cost of compliance within year. Watch Inenco’s ESOS experts and hear first-hand from the energy manager of a major energy user about delivering ESOS in a large organization. 10,000 of the UK’s largest businesses have to comply with the new Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) and conduct a mandatory energy audit across buildings, transport and industrial operations by December 2015. Anthony Mayall, Managing Director of NIFES Consulting (part of the Inenco Group) explained how businesses should approach ESOS as a chance to go beyond their property portfolio and unlock savings across their operations. Dave Derbyshire, Environmental Manager, Matalan Retail, discussed how Matalan is implementing ESOS and his experience delivering a large-scale Energy Reduction Programme. Businesses can’t afford to ignore ESOS - compliance is not optional, but more importantly, any delay in action could mean potential savings go unrealised, more than covering the cost of compliance. Like any energy saving scheme, savings are solely dependent on businesses taking action. ESOS could identify up to £900m of savings by 2016 - if approached in the right way, this could be a major opportunity for businesses to reduce consumption and cost. Participants will also had the opportunity to put questions to the experts throughout the webinar, you can submit your question on the event via email, after registration.
