Irish residents could suffer from climate change

Soaring taxes, food prices, insurance premiums and fuel costs could all become a problem for countries around the world, University of Bath researcher Alastair Hunt has claimed.

The scientist will address his contemporaries at a global climate change meeting in Copenhagen today and he explained to the Daily Telegraph that changes to the environment are something that will have an impact on everyone’s lives.

“I am trying to bring home the impact of climate change to everyone by calculating the effects it has on individuals and organisations,” he told the news provider.

“This shows that there will be real costs for everyone. It will have an impact on everybody’s lives.

Furthermore, Mr Hunt believes that the situation will only get worse as the century goes on.
