Nissan to sell the world’s first super ultra low emission vehicle only in California

The vehicle will also prevent vapours from evaporating from its fuel system.

Nissan asserts that the Sentra 2000 with a 1.8l engine will emit less during a trip to work ten miles from home and back than a typical new car emits while it’s parked, with its engine off, all day.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) will be the body to award the Sentra 2000 with SULEV certification. The car is due to go on sale next year, only in California.
