EDF signs largest offshore wind farm agreement with RWE
We’re proud to announce our exciting partnership with RWE to purchase renewable electricity, through a 15 year Power Purchase Agreement, from one of the largest single offshore windfarms in the world, Sofia.
In what represents RWE and EDF’s largest renewable energy agreement to date, we will offtake all of the 6.5-terawatt hours (TWh) of renewable wind energy that Sofia will produce each year.
This agreement not only supports the UK’s ambition to grow offshore wind capacity to 40 gigawatts by 2030 but further enables EDF to support British businesses and the Public Sector on the road to achieving Net Zero.
