Space tourist to highlight water issues on Earth

Guy Laliberté, founder of the Cirque du Soleil plans to stage a ‘poetic social mission’ during his 12 day stay aboard the International Space Station (ISS).

The purpose of this mission, according to the website of his One Drop foundation, will be to raise global awareness of water-related issues.

“Laliberté’s mission in space is dedicated to making an impact on how water, our most precious resource, is protected and shared,” it says.

“And he will be applying tools he has used so well for most of his life to bring about change: arts and culture.”
