In this episode of the podcast, edie’s senior reporter Matt Mace pays a visit to Diageo’s London headquarters to bring you a full, uninterrupted interview with Croft, who explians how the drinks company has been able to adopt an industry leadership position on CSR. 

What was the greatest piece of advice Croft ever received? How has he inspired others to become passionate about the CSR issues Diageo is trying to remedy? What does the Paris Agreement mean for businesses? And does he get to take whiskey home for free?

In this 45-minute episode, Croft discusses his time previous career experience with the likes of Cadbury’s and Waitrose, explaining how each role has helped him develop the necessary skills to lead an international company though a low-carbon, resource-efficient transition.

The podcast airs just days before Croft takes to the stage at edie’s Sustainability Leaders Forum – a two-day conference dedicated to accelerating change and creating brand value from sustainable business, taking place on 25-26 January. This is adjoined to the Sustainability Leaders Awards, taking place on the evening of 25 January, which recognise the incredible people, initiatives and products that are helping to deliver excellence within the green economy.
