Climate campaigners take to the streets of London

As the world’s media turned its attention on the gathering of G20 leaders in London this week protesters took to the streets to voice concerns over a range of subjects – including climate change.

Despite widespread coverage of the damage done to a branch of the Royal Bank of Scotland by anti-capitalist campaigners, the mass protests were a largely peaceful affair marred by occasional flare-ups of violence by a small minority of protesters.

One group, G20 Meltdown, led four separate processions converging on the financial heart of the city with their Horsemen of the Apocalypse – representing the ‘crimes’ of war, climate change, the economic crisis and land enclosures.
