Doppstadt (UK) Ltd finalises largest ever order for recycling equipment

The DZ 750 Combi is unique in that it brings together both a low speed and a

high speed shredder, allowing bulky and heavily contaminated wood, such as

demolition timber, to be processed into woodchip suitable for recycling by

chipboard manufacturers. Fed into the slow speed unit, the waste wood is

shredded into manageable pieces and much of the ferrous contamination is

removed by an overband magnet. The material is then conveyed into the high

speed hammermill unit, where it is shredded more finely to suit the

particular market specification required by the operator and the rest of the

ferrous contamination is removed by a second overband magnet.

“This development shows that wood recycling in the UK is moving forward

rapidly,” says George Kehoe, sales director for Doppstadt (UK) Ltd. “The

sophisticated technology of the DZ 750 Combi shredder provides operators

with clear benefits, including increased flexibility in terms of the type of

material they can accept, higher throughputs, and a higher quality final

product.”
