The greater affordability of technologies that were once cost-inhibitive, for example solar panels, is enabling companies to buy and deliver at scale where previously they might not have.
Smith also commended the companies that are investing and developing the latest technologies to help drive a low-carbon economy.
“Seeing companies increasingly launch great, attractive, and environmentally friendly products is a development that I expect will continue,” he added.
