Two programmes of outdoor demonstrations provide visitors with the chance to see vehicles and large machinery in action. The vehicle demonstration area is a new feature for 2004, and Steve Crowhurst, exhibition director said: ‘We are really confident that this new feature will go down well with exhibitors and visitors alike. The RWM exhibition is the only industry event that can offer this unique feature. It is a major undertaking to provide this sort of opportunity within the NEC.’
The comprehensive seminar programme is booking fast, but there are still places available on all seminars at the moment. The three days have been themed to enable visitors to make the most of their visit to the show. Day 1 (Tuesday) will cover Materials Recycling, including presentations on the multi-materials challenge and quality issues in the paper market. Day 2 (Wednesday) is Local Authority day (sponsored by Verdant) and will cover issues on raising recycling awareness, data collection and analysis, and opportunities for WEEE recycling. Finally Day 3 (Thursday) will cover Legislation including the affect on driver training and monitoring for the waste management industry caused by the Driver Training Directive, plus a presentation on The Landfill Allowance trading scheme.
The Seminar Theatre is stand 130 at the show, and visitors can register for any of the sessions at the seminar registration desk if they have not had chance to book beforehand.
