One such feature is the further integration of InfoWorks WS and InfoNet, which
gives s a complete link between asset management and the hydraulic modeling platform.
Wallingford says that with the new feature it is possible to import hydraulic model data into InfoNet so that it can become part of the asset management database.
Hydraulic models can also be built semi-automatically and updated from the InfoNet asset management database.
This feature enables users to open an asset database in InfoWorks WS, to open InfoWorks WS while using InfoNet, and move data between the two solutions, as well as providing a means to automatically update both from data in the other solution.
User programmable controls (UPCs) – a method of specifying the operation of pumps and valves according to network conditions or time of day – have also been significantly enhanced in the latest version of InfoWorks WS.
This development enables users to write UPCs through a new scripting method, and to edit pump and valve data.
