According to the Irish Independent, Clonacool Arctic Charr makes use of a state-of-the-art farming facility that follows strict environmental principles to produce Arctic charr, a type of fish closely related to salmon and trout that can be found in Ireland’s glacial lakes.
“We believe in keeping Arctic charr as close to its natural environment as possible – that’s why we add nothing to the process except food and oxygen,” commented Bill Carty of Clonacool Arctic Charr at the Taste of Dublin festival.
“Our fish are fed with natural spring water. No chemicals, antibiotics or colourings of any kind.”
Last year, a report in the Wall Street Journal suggested that companies can benefit from eco-friendly policies as they can improve a firm’s reputation among potential job candidates, as well as boost productivity and slash costs.
