The environment is a complex issue which needs to be tackled with some sophistication and managerial control. ISO 14031, a new guideline on Environmental Performance Evaluation from the International Standards Organisation (ISO), will help organisations manage their environmental affairs more professionally and strategically with the help of some key performance indicators and a supporting technical report giving case studies on the application of the guideline. Both are scheduled for publication later this year.
