Northern Municipal opts for Aquazura street washers

Euromec, a leading supplier of industrial and municipal cleaning machines, supplied NMS with the ride-on Aquazuras. With a combined scrubbing and suction action, the vehicles are currently on contract hire from NMS in various UK locations including Hammersmith, Tower Hamlets, Swansea and Leeds.

Jeff Bean, Managing Director of Northern Municipal Spares, based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, is particularly impressed with the machine’s ability to remove both dirt and waste water as it travels along. “We chose Euromec because we envisaged that the Aquazura was the way forward in town centre cleaning as it takes up dirt without depositing it in a different place.”

A 1,500 litre clean water tank supplies the scrubbing head, whilst a 1,000 litre recovery tank removes the debris and used water, producing impressive cleaning results. Mr Bean continued, “We felt that there was a definite market for this machine within the scope of general cleanliness in city centres, which has been proved by having to purchase further machines. The Aquazura has enabled us to bring a broader base to our range of equipment, and, if needs demand, we would certainly look at the possibility of investing in additional vehicles.”

Euromec, a leading supplier of industrial and municipal cleaning equipment, has also announced the new Otto, a high-dump sweeper, manufactured by Italian RCM. This joins the Jumbo scrubber-dryer as the latest machines to the company’s range.

The Otto features a chassis made from reinforced steel, which includes pivoting side brushes for good protection against accidental impacts. A large filter capacity consisting of six cartridge filters allows the machine to work in dusty environments for a long period of time.

A vacuum on the hopper removes any dust produced during the hopper emptying, and ergonomically designed controls provide excellent manoeuvrability. The Otto is also complete with large tilting covers that allow easy access to all the components for hassle-free maintenance.

Peter Crewe, Managing Director of Euromec, comments, “With an hourly cleaning performance of 7,000-9,800m2/hour, compared with 300m2 achieved through manual cleaning, the new Otto can dramatically reduce cleaning costs.

Small but strong and reliable, even in the toughest of working conditions, the Otto proves that sometimes, less is more.”
