Payload increased with lightweight vacuum tanker

WhaleVac is the trademark for Whale Tankers’ latest range of lightweight frameless vacuum tankers, purpose-designed for customers operating in the competitive area of sludge transportation. The new parallel barrelled, frameless semi-trailer tankers can operate at 40/41 tonnes GCW or 44 GCW. They are available in mild and stainless steel with a list of add or delete practical options and are stated to offer maximum capacity for a relatively low cost. They are designed to be simple to operate, reliable and to require little maintenance.

“In matters of payload and reliability the Whale StepVac – our first frameless tanker, with a unique stepped barrel design and pumping equipment concealed in an acoustic chamber at the front of the barrel – excels. However, it is also the ‘Rolls Royce’ equivalent and its high specification and long list of features – desirable though they may be – are inevitably reflected in the purchase price.

“There is also a market demand for a high capacity, lightweight vacuum tanker with fittings appropriate for the carriage of non-hazardous sludges, to serve the same purpose as the StepVac, but with fewer features and, therefore, a lower price tag.”
