Sustainability stats: This week in numbers

Solar Alliances and very rich energy coalitions have dominated the headlines but as COP21 rolls on water stewardship programmes and renewable revolutions across the continents are being announced.

With news that the rich have a lot to answer for in regards to emissions it was pleasing to see huge pledges to help out countries at risk from being eradicated by climate threats.

Paris has been so dominant you’d be excused from ignoring anything else this week, but not here at edie. We brought coverage of the new circular economy package, which had some interesting new measures introduced.

With worrying figures released on the state of Europe’s air quality it is perhaps about time that global collaboration finally began to accelerate.

Not content to be out-pledged by countries businesses have also taken the timely arrival of the Climate conference to announce some huge pledges, with APRIL Group’s forest restoration unveiling being particularly impressive.
