Mr Rowe, who runs Konstam in Acton Street, is one of a number of celebrity chefs who is backing a campaign to get us cooking rather than chucking away food.
According to mayor of London’s office about a third of food bought in the capital ends up in the bin.
To stop this a campaign launched today (11 August) sees Boris Johnson mayor of London join forces with Gary Rhodes, Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, Mr Rowe and other top chefs to get people cooking their leftovers.
The expert chefs have created dishes, including a lemon potato mash cake, for the Recycle for London campaign which is designed to help use up the food people are most likely to chuck in the bin, such as bread, meat, fish, rice and potatoes.
