Water show in the pipeline

As the exhibition opening date nears we bring you an update of this year’s not-to-be-missed highlights, including Environment Agency chairman Sir John Harman giving his views on the future of England’s water environment.

The omnipresent issue of water scarcity is tackled by Jacob Tompkins, director of water-saving NGO Waterwise, who sets out the case for cutting water waste rather than use as the most efficient way of combating water shortages.

Meanwhile another of the high profile speakers scheduled for the IWEX conference, Water UK’s chief executive Pamela Taylor, explores the effects of climate change on the water industry and some of the issues around the energy costs of reaching ever higher water quality standards.

The IWEX exhibition runs from May 1st – 3rd at the NEC in Birmingham.
